What Is A Specialist Orthodontist?
An Orthodontist is a fully trained Dentist who has had at least 3 further years of training to specialise in Orthodontics. They also need to pass a Membership examination set by one of the National Royal Colleges to be accepted onto the specialist list.
A Specialist Orthodontist focuses solely on Orthodontic work so they are experts in knowing how best to straighten and move teeth. Both your Dentist and Orthodontist are highly trained oral healthcare experts concentrating on different aspects of dental health.
An Orthodontist has the specialist knowledge and expertise in teeth straightening, jaw alignment and dental development.
